Kathryn began her career in the luxury events and wedding industry, where she developed a keen eye for detail and perfected her planning skills. After organising many unforgettable events for her clients, she embraced an exciting new chapter and joined a renowned global travel agency, allowing her to pursue her passion for travel. There, Kathryn crafted bespoke itineraries and gained extensive experience in planning trips across the globe.

Kathryn's desire to focus on African travel stemmed from the incredible stories, cherished memories and souvenirs shared by friends and family who have travelled across the continent. Combined with her deep passion and fascination for wildlife, led her to pursue a role at Mahlatini.

Most Memorable Trip

My partner and I travelled around Southeast Asia, immersing ourselves in an array of cultures and landscapes. Each country offered unique traditions, cuisines and ways of life which deepened my appreciation for each region. The most thrilling aspect of our journey was the wildlife we saw. There was something so uniquely captivating about seeing animals in their natural habitat!

Top of My Bucket-List

I would love to visit the Maasai Mara in Kenya to witness the iconic river crossing during the Great Wildebeest Migration. Watching thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the Mara River, with predators in pursuit, sounds like a thrilling spectacle to witness!

Top Travel Tip

Always travel in comfortable clothes! Long-haul travel can be tiring so its important to be comfortable throughout your journey. I always pack some clean clothes to change into, ensuring I feel comfortable throughout my trip.
