Set in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, Kasbah Tamadot is Sir Richard Branson’s award-winning retreat. Meaning ‘soft breeze’ in Berber, it sits at the top of a valley with views of majestic Mount Toubkal. It is an oasis, enclosed by high walls, within splendid gardens, set apart from the arid surrounding landscape. The hotel offers uniquely designed bedrooms, safari-style Berber Tents and brand-new Riads.
The Kasbah is an atmospheric walled retreat with peaceful courtyards and landscaped gardens. Within the walls are 18 individually styled rooms and suites, as well as common areas decorated with an eclectic mix of Indian, Arabian, and Far Eastern antiques and artefacts. The 11 spacious Berber tents are tucked into the gardens, reminiscent of African safari tents. Some feature Jacuzzis on wide terraces. Beyond the tents are 6 riads, centred around intimate courtyards, each with a Deluxe Room, Pool Suite and Rooftop Tented Suite.
Freshly prepared Moroccan and international dishes can be enjoyed in one of the bars or in the main restaurant, Kanoun, or even on the Kasbah's roof terrace. If you wish for a private dining experience, this is possible at any of the secluded locations in the Kasbah and its gardens. The property has a choice of swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, and a luxurious spa. Beyond the kasbah, there are plenty of activities, including trekking, mountain biking, visits to nearby villages, shopping excursions, and guided tours to Marrakech.
