Designed by architect and interior designer Jean-Baptiste Barian, the property showcases carved cedarwood ceilings, hand-painted zellij tiles and intricate plasterwork crafted by local artisans. With panoramic views across the old city, a serene pool terrace, fine Moroccan dining and an indulgent spa, it offers a luxury riad experience in Fès.
Once the private residence of a noble Fassi family, Palais Faraj has been transformed into an intimate hotel with 32 individually designed rooms and suites. Each suite features high painted ceilings, traditional Moroccan furnishings and spacious lounges; selected categories, such as the Ambassador and Royal Suites, include sweeping views over the medina or private terraces. Dining centres around Restaurant L’Amandier and the Rooftop Garden, where Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes are served alongside views of the city’s rooftops and minarets. The Essencia Spa offers a traditional hammam, massage rooms and treatments using Moroccan argan oil and natural botanicals. The outdoor pool and patio provide a quiet retreat after navigating the medina’s narrow streets.
