With the Indian Ocean lapping against stunning sandy beaches, Machangulo Beach Lodge owns a charming setting in beautiful Mozambique. The lodge is secluded amongst magical dune forest, with sandy outcrops popping out between the green and offers guests a private and relaxing beach experience. The lodge is reached via boat, followed by a walk through the forest along winding walkways to the main building of the lodge.
Guests can enjoy all of the comforts offered by their spacious chalet, with the sound of the Indian Ocean a tranquil overture to relaxation. There are 14 chalets in total, 5 of which provide sweeping ocean views and take in Inhaca Island. The chalets are all connected to the main building by stairs and walkways and boast private decks, en suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and air-conditioning.
Guests can enjoy the spoils of the beachside bar, which is adjacent to the lodge pool, an ideal place for staying cool in the Mozambican heat. The main building itself is quite large, with a comfortable dining room and lounge. A boma is tucked behind this building and offers fireside evening relaxation. Guests can also lose themselves with delightful massages and a variety of treatments at the lodge's mobile spa, serving guests in-room or on location.
Fly from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to Maputo where a boat transfer will take you to the lodge.

Extremely nice rooms. However the safe did not work (old dated system) which was annoying as we had to keep passport and valuables with us at all time, drain was stuck.
