Discover Coral Lodge

Only minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ilha de Mozambique - once the capital of Mozambique and occupied by the Portuguese, the island dates back to the 1500's. History is hardly the only reason to visit Coral Lodge, however. Discover magnificent beaches and a great base to explore, from the property's situation on a pretty peninsula.

There's a traditional Mozambican feel to Coral Lodge offset by modern comfort, with dark woods meeting comfy sofas and beds. There are only 10 villas on offer, the small size of the property building an intimate and laid-back atmosphere. Outdoor decking provides the perfect excuse to relax and admire the view while interiors are equipped with air conditioning, an electronic safe, outdoor showers and tea and coffee making facilities. Additional extras are also available: Mozambican Indian Ocean salt baths and mosquito repellent can be provided. With a unique location on the coast there's the chance to enjoy a spectacular array of water sports. Diving and snorkelling are joined by wind surfing and sailing a traditional Mozambican dhow. Ilha de Mozambique is a must visit for history buffs, with old buildings including the San Sebastiao Fort relics of a bygone era.
