Lake Oanob is situated on 6200 hectares in the beautiful Hardap Region, around 2 hour's drive from Windhoek Airport. It's a unique resort featuring spacious luxury chalets, cosy rooms and a campsite. It particularly suits self-drive travellers seeking a scenic stopover on the first or last night of the southern leg of their Namibian journey. Its setting on the banks of the Oanob Dam provides superb views of the water and surrounding bush, making it the perfect place to relax.
The area around Lake Oanob is all stony hills, sandy valleys and mountains home to a huge variety of fish, birds and antelopes. Its a family-friendly resort providing guests with a wide range of activities including game drives, hiking, boat rides, canoeing, aqua cycling, and swimming.
The non-camping accommodation around the waterfront is a combination of rooms and chalets each with their own garden and lawn. All the rooms are en-suite with a shower/bath and a private veranah with views of the lake. The chalets with either 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms will suit small groups or families who are happy to self-cater in the fully-equipped kitchen. Meals are served in the restaurant, from the 'a la carte,' menu, and can be complimented by a sundowner or night cap from the fully licensed bar.
