The 16 guest rooms are close to the main lodge building and swimming pool area, which also looks out across the spectacular waterhole. Accommodation consists of comfortable double or twin rooms, three of which have a twin bed loft ideal for small families, one family unit with four beds and the Settlers room with its own lounge. All rooms have their own bathroom and shower.

The main camp building has indoor and outdoor dining with an adjacent lounge bar area, all of which overlook the waterhole. The nearby pool area has loungers and a small covered 'sala' for shade. For safety, the garden area is fenced off, offering families some peace of mind.

The reserve boasts a wide variety of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, kudu and other game, as well as the predators, lion, cheetah and leopard. Onguma has also recently added a family of rare black rhino to the reserve. In the Namibian summer months, as the rainy season brings life to the wetlands, bird-watchers are well catered for with a hundreds of bird species migrating through the reserve annually.

Review of Onguma Bush Camp

Gordon & Monique Robertson

Excellent lodge, meals and service very good. Very attractive location with the watering hole but not many animals in the area apparently due to the high temperatures, which was a pity. We did our own self-drive game drives in Etosha which worked out fine.
