With only four thatched private rooms, the Tree Top Camp allows up to eight guests to take a breath and relax during a busy safari schedule. Each of the rooms has double/twin beds, en-suite bathroom within the room and a balcony with a secluded outdoor shower with views of the water hole.
Accessed from the ground via a small drawbridge, which is raised at night to stop unwanted wildlife visiting, the main building is connected to the guest tents by raised walkways. It boasts a charming restaurant, small bar and lounge, all overlooking the waterhole. There is also a fire-pit with seating around it, perfect for watching the evening activity at the waterhole with a sundowner drink. The waterhole plays host to a vast array of wildlife, arriving to quench their thirst.
The reserve boasts a wide variety of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, kudu and other game, as well as the predators, lion, cheetah and leopard. Onguma has also recently added a family of rare black rhino to the reserve. In the Namibian summer months as the rainy season brings life to the wetlands bird-watchers are well catered for with a hundreds of bird species migrating through the reserve annually.
