Serra Cafema

Surrounded by the vast sweeping dunes of the Namib dessert and overlooking the Kunene River, Serra Cafema is beautiful and remote. Hidden away in the enormous Hartmann Valley this is undoubtedly one of Namibia's more undiscovered lodges and offers guests an unchallenged level of calm and relaxation, with the sound of the Kunene River uniquely juxtaposed by the dry desert-scape of the Namib.

There are 8 rooms in total, all of which are luxurious and provide incredible views. En suite bathrooms and private verandas are complemented by glass doors that are set at the front of the rooms, which are raised high off the ground on wooden decking. There is also a room specific for accommodating families and one for honeymooners, the latter of which provides the best views in camp.

The camp's main area rests in the shade of tall trees on the banks of the river. Guests are welcome to enjoy the lodge's plunge pool and explore the curio shop. The lounge area, library and bar offer guests the chance to relax, while the dining space, which spans both inside and outdoor areas, allows guests to delight in the lodge's delicious cuisine, either surrounded by the lodge's authentically African interiors or al fresco in the warmth of the African sun.
