Nestled deep in the heart of the world's oldest desert, the Namib, the desert oasis of Sossusvlei Desert Lodge owns an incredibly beautiful location, with rising red dunes and rocky outcrops. The Namib Desert's vast arid plains stretch as far as the eye can see, with such emptiness and space offering an ultimate sense of tranquillity and allows for a complete and comfortable escape from the outside world. The lodge is very well designed and takes full advantage of its surrounding, with stylish verandas and floor to ceiling windows providing guests spectacular vistas.
Capable of accommodating a maximum of 20 guests, the 10 well-appointed stone and glass villas are air conditioned, modern and charming with stylish contemporary African interiors. Bedrooms, which are split level, feature romantic skylights above the beds, perfect for relaxing in bed at night and looking up into an endless star filled sky. Guests can also expect cosy fireplaces, verandas and en suite bathrooms with outdoor showers and phenomenal views from the large glass windows.
In the main area of the lodge, the wraparound veranda provides further views, with the outside brought indoors thanks to floor to ceiling windows replacing walls. Fed by an underground spring, the lodge pool is the perfect place for guests to relax and cool off from the desert heat.
