Sossusvlei Lodge

Sossusvlei Lodge is an excellent property situated in the world's oldest desert, the Namib. The entrance gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon is nearby and all manner of activities are available from the Sossusvlei Lodge Adventure Centre. The area in which the lodge is set is typical of the surrounds, with small trees, shrubs and grasses set against rocky outcrops and red sand.

Blending seamlessly with its backdrop, the accommodation at Sossusvlei Lodge is spacious and comfortable. There are 45 rooms on offer, all of which sit under charming canvas and are enclosed by a low stone wall. Rooms feature air conditioning, luggage space in the hall, an electronic safe and patios from which to look out on the desert plains. Guests can also expect en-suite bathrooms with a toilet, shower and wash basin, and power points for charging equipment. For families or groups three of the rooms are inter-leading.

The surrounding area is filled with plenty to do with the Sossusvlei Lodge Adventure Centre providing a range of activities to keep guests busy. Explore the desertscape with quad biking or hot air-ballooning, the latter boasting unforgettable views as the sun rises over the red dunes. Facilities at the lodge are very good, with a restaurant and bar, a welcome swimming pool and the Acacia Beer Garden.

Around a 4 hour drive from Windhoek or Wavis Bay.
