Bordering the Etosha National Park, Mushara Lodge is a small and intimate lodge. Mushara takes its name from the trees that grow in abundance in the local area and holds quaint decor and comfortable accommodation. The main area of the lodge, based on an old farm house, is thatched and holds a variety of facilities, including a bar and lounge with a fireplace, which can be a cosy place to sit during the cooler winter months. Delicious cuisine is on offer in the dining room and a small library and curio shop are waiting to be explored.
The 10 chalets have recently been refurbished and are positioned neatly around an inviting swimming pool. The chalets provide air conditioning, mosquito nets over double beds, which are draped in white linen, and en suite facilities. Decor in the thatched rooms provide guests with cosy creams and beiges and stone floors that are pleasingly cool in the warmer months. Guests are also treated to the pleasing juxtaposition of the lodge's use of traditional and modern artwork, creating an invigorating atmosphere of authentic Africa lined with a new wave feel.
