Fiume Lodge and Game Farm
Fiume Lodge is an owner-managed lodge near to the town of Grootfontein, an ideal stopover for visitors travelling to the north of Namibia or the Zambezi region. It is also a handy location providing easy access to Khaudom National Park, Bushman land and Etosha National Park. Situated on a 1400ha private game farm guests can enjoy more than 10 different big game species and smaller mammals.
Providing a welcome oasis, Fiume is set in a large garden of thorn trees offering travellers respite from long and tiresome road trips. It offers comfortable accommodation in 9 stylish chalets, all of which are twin-bedded with ensuite bathrooms, air-conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Two of the chalets are slightly larger and can be used a family unit on request.
Guests reach the main building via a sandstone walkway where they will find a restaurant, bar (with satellite TV) and outdoor dining area. Here guests can access wifi or purchase curios from the bar. The swimming pool is a welcome relief from the hot Namibian sun and evenings will be spent enjoying a cool drink whilst watching the wildlife come to drink at the floodlit waterhole.
