Grootberg Lodge
Keeping watch over the Klip River Valley, Grootberg Lodge is positioned high on the edge of the Etendeka Plateau in 30,000 acres of a community-run concession. The lodge is a landmark in Namibia's tourism industry in that it is the first middle-market establishment that is fully owned by the conservancy. Approximately 12,000 hectares have been set aside by the Khoadi/Hoas people for conservation and tourism. The revenues generated by the lodge greatly benefit the local community.
The lodge has sixteen separate thatched-roof, stone chalets, including two family chalets, each with private decks boasting panoramic views over the valley below and hunting grounds of the indigenous black eagles. With a focus on authenticity and warm hospitality, the lodge's staff come from the local community, from the bar staff serving up sundowner drinks on the deck of the main building to the kitchen staff preparing and serving delicious meals in the indoor and outdoor dining areas. The swimming pool below the main deck has one of the most spectacular views of any in Namibia.

It all ended well but was a lot of effor…

Maybe they should shorten it a bit... The views were out of this world and watching the sunset over the gorge with …
