Found in the sprawling 37,000-hectare private Kulala Wilderness Reserve, Little Kulala is an intimate and luxurious desert eco-retreat that acts as a gateway to the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, which are only 45 minutes away. As with its sister property, Kulala Desert Lodge, there is a wide range of desert activities on offer, from guided hikes to quad biking and bird watching, to enable you to maximise your enjoyment of this incredible landscape.
The lodge is well adapted to the desert environment and has been thoughtfully designed to keep you as cool as possible, with each of its 11 air-conditioned rooms raised off the ground by a wooden platform to catch the cool breeze. Enjoy spectacular desert vistas from your private veranda, or cool off in your own private plunge pool. You may even choose to sleep out under the vast and star-studded sky on the cleverly designed flat rooftops.
The high thatched roof of the main area provides welcome shade as well as a comfortable lounge, dining room and bar. You can stand out on the veranda and watch the shadows slowly roll over the vast desert scape or take to Little Kulala's main pool for a tranquil dip.
