Majgaon Lodge

Majgaon Lodge is in a truly jaw-dropping spot surrounded by giant Himalayan peaks and with an unrivalled view of sacred Machapuchare, known locally as ‘fishtail’. The lodge comprises a handful of traditional Gurung houses scattered within manicured gardens, and is a short hour’s walk from the nearest road head. As with all Mountain Lodges of Nepal accommodation, the rooms are comfortable, food and service excellent, and the trekking superb.

There are total of eleven simple and neat guest rooms with high-ceilings, arched windows, and en-suite bathrooms (a rarity in these parts). The rooms are heated and there is plenty of hot water for showers. To beat the night cold, down jackets, warm hats, hot water bottles and gloves are provided. In the main dining room, a fire is lit in the evenings, drinks are poured, and hearty meals are served at the long wooden table. The convivial atmosphere encourages guests to swap tales of their days trekking beneath the high mountains of the Annapurna range.
