Barahi Jungle Lodge

Barahi Jungle Lodge is built alongside the Rapti river with Chitwan National Park just across the water so offers a fantastic, immersive wildlife experience for guests. There is plenty of wildlife within the grounds of the property. Barahi is a dedicated environmental and sustainability success having planted well over 5,000 trees and with a staff almost exclusively from the villages immediately surrounding the lodge. The list of community and environmental initiatives is extensive. The lodge itself it built from local and reclaimed materials with small, low-rise thatched huts borrowing from the architectural design of the Terai region.

Barahi Jungle Lodge’s unobtrusive thatched huts dot the riverbank, spreading either side of the main block where the restaurant and swimming pool are located. Deluxe Rooms feature private balconies with either river or jungle views, and are decorated simply with natural and local materials. Six of the Deluxe Rooms interconnect making them ideal for families or small groups of friends travelling together. The Presidential Suite offers two bedrooms, large living area, a private pool and huge balcony with firepit and views across the river to the national park. The lodge offers a range of wildlife excursions with trained naturalists, as well as nightly cultural dances and private dining experiences on and off-site. A small spa offers treatments and a serene space in which to relax between safaris.
