Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge

The Tiger Tops group helped pioneer responsible tourism in the Indian Subcontinent and this genetic make-up is apparent in all aspects of the Tharu Lodge. Located on the edge of the Chitwan National Park, Tharu Lodge is the ideal base for exploring the lush jungles of Nepal through exhilarating wildlife experiences, ethical elephant encounters, and authentic interactions with the local community. This small, intimate lodge offers a proper wildlife experience with campfires at night and communal dining where guests swap stories of the day’s encounters.

Inspired by the traditional longhouse style of Tharu architecture and built from locally- sourced materials, Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge has 12 rooms offering a unique and comfortable immersion into Nepalese village life and culture. Adventure-seeking guests may opt for one of the 9 safari tents for an even more immersive experience, complete with forest soundtrack at night. Both the rooms and tents are very spacious and come with en-suite bathrooms. The lodge garden provides a serene haven for outdoor dining and relaxation with hammocks, seating areas, firepits, and a cold-water swimming pool. A stay here revolves around the many activities on offer which include, but are certainly not limited to, jeep safaris in search of Rhino, boat rides on the Narayani River, walking safaris, and ethical elephant encounters where you learn more about these gentle giants.
