The Inn Patan

The Inn Patan is a delightful 10 room character hotel located a very short stroll from historic Patan Durbar Square. Owned by architect Rohit Ranjitkar, The Inn is a lovingly converted 100-year old Newari townhouse built around a central courtyard. Many of the buildings original features have been preserved including some superb examples of the woodcarvings that Kathmandu is famous for.

The Inn Patan has just 6 Deluxe Rooms and 4 Suites which are all individual in size and style. All are thoughtfully designed with exposed beams, wooden or tiled floors, colourful rugs, and locally produced brass fittings in the bathrooms. Two of the suites have balconies overlooking the old town. The food and service at the hotel are both excellent, and the location, in the south of Kathmandu set apart from the main tourist hustle and bustle, offers a glimpse into a more traditional side of the city.
