Al Bandar (meaning the town) has architectural influences derived from the nearby capital, Muscat, providing elegant, ornate interiors. Guests can enjoy the wide choice of facilities across the resort (with a few exceptions) encompassing six pools, a lazy river, tennis courts and a dive centre. The expansive CHI, The Spa provides a secluded haven and includes an ice fountain, tundra showers and a hydro pool. There's also an authentic Omani Heritage Village providing an insight into traditional village life with local arts and crafts, while the Muttrah Souk and downtown Muscat are within a 15-minute taxi ride. At certain times of the year, guests may join the turtle ranger program that protects and nurtures hatchlings and their nests.
