Discover Mboko Lodge

Located in the southern half of the Republic of Congo’s Odzala-Kokoua National Park, Mboko Camp is surrounded by wide-open grasslands, gentle rivers, and towering forests. The area is explored on foot, by vehicle and by boat, providing a front-row seat to the staggering diversity of the Congolese ecosystem. From hyenas prowling across the open grasslands to monkeys tussling in the trees, every day brings a new adventure.

The 6 chalets of the lodge are built along the Likeni River, with screened-in porches tucked under the trees. The rooms are ensuite and furnished with writing desks, mosquito-netted beds, and comfortable seating. The social hub of the lodge is the large pavilion elevated above the savanna. Here there’s an open deck with a fire pit, curio shop, bar, and several areas for relaxed lounging. Meals are served around a unique dining table carved from a slab of petrified wood. At Mboko, activities are a combination of walking, boating, and kayaking through some of the Congo Basin’s most beautiful habitats.
