Holiday to Namibia
Gareth Turner, 19th November 2021We had a fantastic time exploring Namibia. As first time visitors, the itinerary Stuart put together worked really well for us, providing an introduction to the diverse areas the country has to offer. We stayed at some great properties, with friendly and attentive staff. We hope to be able to return in the future.

“Simply an amazing property. The suites are immaculate and offer outstanding views over the surrounding dune and mountain landscape. The vista at night under the stars is equally impressive. The food and drinks on offer were plentiful and high quality. However, what really sets this place apart is the people: the service was always on point, with team members quickly coming to know their guests well. Would give the place 6 stars if we could.”

“An excellent spot from which to explore the town of Swakopmund and surrounds. The property was well kept and the staff happy to help and share their knowledge of the town.”

“This was perhaps the spot on out itinerary where we were least sure what to expect, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. The setting amongst the mountains is fantastic; allowing for moments such as spectacular breakfasts watching sunrise over the hills. One other highlight was being able to sleep out under the stars. The excursions to find the desert adapted wildlife were great, we enjoyed some wonderful the elephant sightings. Finally the staff were incredibly welcoming and clearly connected to the local community. Would highly recommend a visit.”

“The reserve offers everything you would expect from a property of its type. The setting is great, our balcony provided views of animals coming to or leaving the local waterhole. The viewing on safari with our excellent guide Teacher were equally impressive; standout moments were the rhinos and the lions with recently born cubs. The service was generally friendly and helpful.”

“Stuart has been great throughout a process that, thanks to covid, was much longer than anticipated. He provided valuable insights in initially designing the trip and then was exceptionally helpful when it had to be rebooked twice. The broader team was also on hand to provide guidance and support as the UK government changed its travel advice during the trip. Would happily use Mahlatini again and recommend the company to others looking for African holidays.”
