Family holiday to South Africa & Mauritius
Oliver Gayle, 9th April 2022A fantastic 3 generational family trip well worth the two year wait. It worked for the whole family, safari veterans as well as those on their first safari. Donna was fantastic and patient in dealing with specific and exact requirements, as well as meticulous logistics (18 people leaving from 3 different locations, and a last minute alteration for 2 people due to a positive CV19 test) and her knowledge shone through. We will have memories that will last a lifetime.

“Incredible lodge. Fantastic organisation, very high standard of food and accommodation. We had the lodge exclusively, and the management and staff were incredible hosts and made it feel like home from home. Exceptional standard of guiding (John Dee is incredible) and the hide is fantastic too.”

“The setting is something out of Wanderlust, the rooms are stunning (we had beachfront villas) and the resort is simply fantastic. The quality of the food is incredible too and staff are particularly friendly. A few teething problems in that some of the room features are designed for form rather than function, and service (other than Villa butlers and staff) could be hit and miss, but they are issues which are capable of rectification. I'd give the place 9-9.5/10”

“Donna couldn't have been more helpful. This was a particularly complex holiday to arrange given the number of participants (18) variety of needs, different locations for set off and the fact there were 4 hotels with different dates, and rooming combinations. To top it off, this was the third time lucky following cancellations in 2020 and 2021. Fantastic knowledge of lodges and accommodation options, very approachable and easy to deal with by phone, as well as being extremely responsive.
Donna was very patient (this was about my 10th safari so I had quite exacting requirements) and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to (and in fact have already) recommended Mahlatini and Donna to people looking to book future safaris.”
