Honeymoon to South Africa & Mauritius
Mrs K Woodcock, 15th July 2012All the accommodation was excellent - particular highlight was the private pool villa in Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius. The location on safari was another highlight - we saw lots of animals very close up wihout having to drive for hours from the lodge. The spa and general service at Cybele was fantastic - we had a couples massage and hydrobath which was lovely.

“The people of Mauritius were all very friendly & the drivers told us a lot about the local area and history when driving around.
We loved the beach at Belle Mare, the sand and sea were beautiful.
We went on a day trip to the south of the island where we particularly enjoyed sampling tea at the tea factory.”
South Africa
“The Panorama route was incredible - we have never seen scenery like it! Our favourite was Blyde River Canyon which was just awesome. We also enjoyed God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes.
We also enjoyed a trip to Elephant Whispers, where we got to interact with the elephants and got to ride on one!
I would definitely recommend the Thornybush Game Reserve area - not as busy as the Kruger but brilliant game viewing and we saw animals within a few minutes of leaving the lodge.”

“Warm welcome by staff and we were offered an upgrade to a cottage with pool (which we took). The accommodation was modern but cosy and we really appreciated the log fire and heated blankets at night! The staff were all excellent and very friendly & provided little extras for us (such as petals on the bed) and also a birthday cake for my husband which went down very well.
The food and wine selection was excellent and reasonably priced.
The lodge also arranged 2 day trips for us, which all went smoothly so all in all we had a lovely relaxing stay there.”

“Friendly welcome. Room was clean and modern with a lovely private terrace at the rear. The quality of the safari guides was excellent and we saw everything we were hoping to. The evening meal around the campfire was a special experience! Lovely pool area for relaxing during the middle of the day. We realy liked the fact this is a small lodge and therefore very personal.”

“Very attentive & thoughtful welcome. Our villa was amazing - clean, modern and spacious and it was lovely having a private garden area with pool. The service was excellent throughout and our personal butler made sure we had everything we needed & made dinner reservations for us.
We tried all the restaurants in the evening & particularly liked the Deer Hunter and La Spiaggia - all the food was good quality.
The beach was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers. We enjoyed walking both directions along the beach in the late afternoon.”

“I cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from Nikki. I first approached her with some thoughts in mind but she patiently kept coming up with good ideas to suggest, even when we kept changing our mind! She suggested our final itinerary in South Africa which suited us perfectly - she really listened to what we wanted and ended up coming up with something really special which we will remember forever.
She always answered my emails and questions very promptly and we didn't have to worry about anything. We're particularly grateful to her for securing an upgrage at the Belle Mare Plage hotel in Mauritius when our original booking at Le Prince Maurice had to be rearranged due to refurbishment. She managed to get us a private pool villa for the duration of our stay in Mauritius, which really was the icing on the cake to an already fabulous honeymoon!”
