Honeymoon to Tanzania & Kenya

“The villas are amazing. Seriously. This may be my favorite property I have stayed in during my travels. I was worried my husband would not like it as much because when it comes to beaches he tends to like places where he can get into the water by walking only a little way from his hotel room. However, he loved it. Being so high up, you get these amazing views and gentle breezes that make for the best napping ever. We loved the stocked fridge with whatever beverages we wanted and the little plunge pool on the second story. The villas are so spacious that we didn’t really feel the need to get out too often except to go on our excursions. Having a butler took some getting used to for us at first, but he was great and we very much enjoyed that as well. It’s a perfect honeymoon spot.”

“The very definition of grand. Wish we could’ve spent a little longer here to really appreciate it. We just had a brief overnight stay. We were amazed at the property however, and our room was the most impressive one I have ever stay in. We had a presidential suite which had three outer doors, two balconies, a dining room, a kitchen… Quite literally made my jaw drop open when I saw it! Service was, of course, impeccable.”

“I did not want to leave. What an incredible experience!!!! We loved the staff, especially our guide. He was as excited to see the animals as we were, despite having done it for as long as he has. He says he learns something new every time. It was my first safari experience, but I can’t imagine that any other place could top what we experienced here. The ‘tent’ was incredibly comfortable (if you can really call it a tent!) and I could have spent all day watching animals on the property. Monkeys, hyrax, warthogs, mongoose… for an animal lover that alone is wonderful, let alone what you see on safari! Even the arrival process of landing on that little private airstrip is magical. Can’t wait to go back someday.”

“We loved every minute of the trip. Our Mahlatini agent Claire did an amazing job with planning everything. My now husband was especially impressed with how flawlessly all of the transfers and intercontinental flights went. There were a lot of details to be figured out, including how to spend the VERY long layover we had in Nairobi on our last day. Claire made this into a lovely day for us by arranging for a driver and tours of several spots in Nairobi. We both loved the Karen Blixen house and the giraffe center. What I especially appreciated was her willingness to go out of her way to be flexible or change things as I changed my mind about what I wanted to do as well as her availability to answer my questions. I had lots of them, especially about luggage weight requirements and what to pack. Her responses were spot on every time. I highly recommend her and would work again with her in future.”
