Adventure Holiday to Zimbabwe
Penny Simpson, 24th July 2022Everything went smoothly despite our leaving Heathrow some 3 hours late. Our connecting flight at Nairobi was held by Kenya Airlines, brilliant! Everything else about the holiday was superb. Staff, accommodation and food were all faultless. Safari type things to see were stupendous at both venues.

Old Drift Lodge
“Accommodation was of a high quality and its location only some 10 metres from the banks of the Zambezi stupendous. The services provided by the staff were exemplary. Food was of high quality and the opportunities to eat locally sourced game added to our enjoyment. The Safari elements, both on the water and inland within the reserve, were wonderful, with our guide Vusa going out of his way to show us his Zimbabwe. Importantly, we always felt safe especially at night when animals walked around and through the camp.”
Little Makalolo Camp
“This small camp is staffed by wonderfully attentive Zimbabweans. Kingsley, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and keen to show us everything that Hwange had to offer and we were not disappointed. Again, the accommodation was very good, as was the food. As for the Safari animals, we were blown away by what we saw, elephants drinking from our plunge pool only a few feet away being just one of several highlights.”
Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport
“A necessarily short overnight stay but all went smoothly from the initial meet and greet to return to the Airport for our flight home.”
