Honeymoon to South Africa & Mauritius
Danielle Revill, 30th September 2022We had an incredible time on our honeymoon in South Africa and Mauritius. The organisation was perfect for the entire trip, and we felt well looked after throughout (even through each airport!). We made memories that will last us forever, and with having to organise our wedding around the same time, it was so lovely to not have to get involved with much of the planning - Caroline did such a great job!

Kambaku Safari Lodge
“This was the best place we have ever stayed. You were made to feel like a big family from the moment you arrived, and the team was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. You were served brunch and a 3-course meal every day, and all of the food was incredible. The game drives were brilliant, and our guides made it their mission for us to see the Big 5 - we ticked the last ones off on our last drive! It was a truly unforgettable experience.”

“We were only here for 1 night in between the longer parts of the honeymoon, but it had everything we needed. The breakfast was great, and the room was comfortable and convenient for the airport the next morning.”
Sands Suites Resort & Spa
“Sands Resort was beautiful and luxurious, and the staff were all so friendly. You were looked after so well, and the breakfast and evening buffets were mostly delicious with lots of choices. The view from the pool was stunning, and it really felt like you were in paradise - the beach was absolutely beautiful, and given that Sands was the last resort on Flic en Flac beach, it meant that no other people were walking across that part of the beach. The room was lovely and spacious and was cleaned multiple times a day. There was a live singer/band every night which was great. The only downside of Sands (and I gather most of the hotels in Mauritius) was the price of the drinks in the hotel. We ended up going to the supermarket (which was quite a trek from the hotel) and buying some drinks to make it more affordable (even water was around 10 times the price in the hotel). We expected the drinks to be a little more expensive, but it did feel excessive - for example, £8-10 for 150ml of their cheapest wine, or £12 for an Irish coffee. Overall it was a beautiful place to stay, and we had an amazing time.”

“Caroline was excellent from the moment she replied to my first enquiry. Nothing was ever too much trouble, even when we had several questions during the booking process - she would even reply when she was on annual leave! She really listened to what we wanted and what our budget was, and we could not have asked for more. We were also a little late to Kambaku Lodge, and we got a call from the on call staff member at Mahlatini to see if we were ok - it was a lovely touch. The organisation of our honeymoon has been incredible, and we had the time of our lives.”
