Honeymoon to South Africa & Maldives
Natalie Hogan, 16th December 2022It's difficult to put into words how amazing our honeymoon was!! It was truly the trip of a lifetime. The initial planning was so seamless; when we asked to see different properties or explore other options, our itinerary was updated and the site that housed all the information reflected that. Traveling within the airports and to different locations was a breeze as we had a dedicated person at each location to get us where we needed to be. The safari was by far the most amazing experience we've ever had; it was a life-changing moment for me, and we're already looking forward to planning our next one. The Maldives was incredibly beautiful, and it was wonderful to have lots of R&R following the safari. Without a doubt, we would use Mahlatini again to plan our next journey to this part of the world!

DaVinci Hotel and Suites
“We really liked the convenient location of this hotel. We walked around Nelson Mandela square and had dinner there so that was really easy. There was a bit of confusion with the hotel and our transfer service, but we worked it out, and that was really the only hiccup of the entire trip!”
Dulini River Lodge
“I would give Dulini 10 stars if I could. The property was insanely beautiful and felt so intimate because it had so few rooms. The staff who worked there were AMAZING; the staff and service really made this place memorable. I shed real tears when we had to leave Dulini and head to our next location (who cries on the way to the Maldives?!) because our experience here was one I will never forget. Our guide and tracker made sure that we saw a wide variety of animals and were so knowledgeable as we asked a ton of questions. We were able to see lots of animals from the lodge during downtime and mealtimes because of its location on the river. The food was wonderful. The massages we had here were probably the best massages we’ve ever had, and we get massages on every vacation we take. I really cannot say enough good things about Dulini!!”
Hurawalhi Maldives
“We were pleasantly surprised with Hurawalhi because we really had no expectations, and we thought there was no way anything would top Dulini! We were here over the Christmas holiday, and the staff did a lot to make it feel like Christmas. They had Christmas “trees” made of various items around the property, sand art, and other holiday events to make it feel special. The food here was excellent; that was the most pleasant surprise. You never know how the food will be at a buffet, but Hurawalhi’s was exceptional. We were able to dine in the underwater restaurant, which is a must! It was such a cool experience, and the wine pairings made it a 10! At Hurawalhi, you have a dedicated staff member to assist you with everything from restaurant bookings to ordering ice buckets to the room, so we always felt taken care of. The property itself is stunning; the overwater bungalows were charming and swimming right out into the ocean for a quick snorkel tour was awesome.”

(We met some other couples at different locations and hearing about their experiences with their travel agents made us insanely grateful for you!! They all had complaints or worked with people who weren’t as knowledgeable or helpful, and all we could do is shrug because we couldn’t relate.)
