Honeymoon to Kenya & Tanzania
Steven Zachariadis, 9th January 2023We were totally impressed by everything we did, saw, and experienced while on our honeymoon in Africa. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip and it certainly exceeded all of our expectations. We are incredibly grateful and lucky to check this one off of our bucket list!

Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
“I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our experience at Kichwa Tembo. It’s just about the only way you’ll get me to go “camping” and I couldn’t have expected anything better! The view was spectacular from the tent and the resort itself was just beautiful looking out into the park. You might even be lucky enough to experience some wildlife just while eating a meal or laying by the pool with some thirsty warthogs.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! And the coffee and hot chocolate delivery in the morning before the morning game drive is a great touch! The food was delicious! And had just about everything for every meal, even for the pickier eaters like me.
Our safari driver, Dennis, was amazing and had us out on drives as much as we could. He was so informative about all the animals and gave us some of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone interested in traveling to Kenya.”

“By the time we were done with our safari, we couldn’t wait to get to the beach and relax. This place blew us away! Absolutely jaw-dropping views and amenities! Our room was absolutely breathtaking. The privacy was so nice, and I loved the fact that you could not see anyone else’s rooms from any of the common areas.
The beach is one of the cleanest and nicest beaches we’ve ever been to. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to fight for a chair at the beach or pool, but here that is not the case. You will not have to rush to try to get a spot as it seems like they have more chairs than guests.
The food and drinks were all delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was so incredibly sad to leave and already dream of going back!
One thing I didn’t see that they advertise is that there are MANY steps (about 100-150) to get from the lobby area, where the main restaurant is located, down to the beach. Luckily we are in decent shape and didn’t mind the exercise, even being out of breath by the time we got to breakfast. Just keep in mind the walking when planning your stay here. However, they do offer a golf cart pickup if you would need to hitch a ride.”

“Karen has been incredible since the day we inquired about booking with Mahlatini. She has been so informative and helpful with the whole planning process. Even with the time change, she would quickly answer any phone calls or emails with any questions we had, which were a lot! She made sure we were well prepared with all of our necessary documents so that all traveling would go smoothly.
All of our connecting flights were perfectly timed out and we were left with plenty of time to make it to the next one. Also being in a foreign area, we felt more comfortable that we were met by an employee to help us from place to place. It was hugely helpful! We couldn’t have asked for anything more in the way she planned our trip! We owe it all to her and can’t thank her enough!”
