Holiday to South Africa & Seychelles
Garth Superville, 15th May 2024We had an amazing trip! We typically visit beach destinations so the safari was such a different vibe for us but it was the most incredible experience! We loved every minute of our stay at Simbavati but there were early morning safaris. Going to the Seychelles for some sun and relaxation from there was the perfect balance.

Simbavati River Lodge
“We loved Simbavati River Lodge! The accommodations were impeccable. On our first day there, elephants walked directly in front of our tent! We saw elephants, impalas and kudu as we were having our meals. The meals were delicious. The team planned a romantic meal for us to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone on the staff was so lovely. Chrinah went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were lucky to be there while two guests were celebrating their birthdays. The staff presented them with a cake while performing a song and dance. It was such a moving experience!
Our guide and our tracker, Clement and Derrick, were so knowledgeable and fun. They tried to make sure everyone saw the animals they were most excited to see but also made sure we were safe! It was incredible watching them track animals just from seeing the prints on the ground. We loved our sundowners and morning coffee breaks! The communal meals like the BBQ created the perfect opportunity to get to know the other guests and trade stories about what we’d seen on safari. I would recommend Simbavati River Lodge to everyone!”

“The hotel was very nice and so convenient. We were only in Johannesburg for one night but wanted to explore a bit. Unfortunately, because we were there on a Monday, many of the museums and galleries we wanted to see were closed. The concierge, Gugu, was so kind to arrange for a guide to take us on a driving tour to see some landmarks and take us to and from dinner.”

“We arrived at Carana Beach at night but the resort looked beautiful. The decor and lighting set the tone. We were able to order room service and were escorted to our room. We had a room with a private plunge pool. The decor was modern and simple. We were greeted with some snacks, fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne. We woke up the next morning to a stunning sunset and the most incredible view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a late lunch one day so we decided to just stay in for dinner and the next day, they told us they were looking for us. It would be easy for them to rely solely on the natural beauty of the beach and the ocean but the decor was so stylish! The grounds are so lush with gorgeous plants all over. It was an unforgettable experience!”
