“Excellent service, but not the luxury we were looking for. We had to tie our tent zippers with shoelaces so monkeys didn’t get in our tents at night. We were expecting something similar to our stay at Hemingway.”

“We could not get any privacy as employees were using the trees by our pool to hide while on their phones and they also used our villa yard as the pathway to take drinks out to everyone on the beach, so we constantly had people hanging out on our patio and in our pool area. It was also very sales-oriented. Several people from the town and hotel employees would approach us while we were in our pool or come to our back door asking for money. I had to ask the hotel to help me with one gentleman who lingered by our door all day, asking for money every time I came and went, because I didn’t feel comfortable leaving our villa alone. The treadmill and bikes in the gym were broken, and the hotel employees worked out in there all day, so we were unable to use the gym. We were just hoping for something more luxurious, as we had discussed.”
