Holiday to South Africa & Mozambique
Debra James-Bailey, 26th July 2024Absolutely out of this world. We truly had an amazing experience. I haven't stopped talking about our holiday since we have been home. When we had our first trip with Mahlatini we thought it would never be topped, but our last was even better. Africa has stolen our hearts, and I can't wait for the next visit. All aspects of the trip were covered, the transfers were excellent, and we had on-the-ground representatives waiting for us after each flight. The lodges were outstanding, and the whole experience has been top-notch.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge
“Elephant Plains is a fantastic lodge. All the staff at the lodge are amazing and the rooms, the food, the game drives and the guides/trackers are unbelievable. We saw the Big 5 and more. I can't recommend this place enough. The rooms are well designed, and comfy, with a large decking area so you can look out over the plains. The food is so tasty, and if there is something you don't fancy, they are more than happy to cook something that you prefer.
We saw leopards, lions, rhinos, elephants, wild dogs, giraffes, kudu, impala, hippos, hyenas, jackals, zebra, Cape buffalo, wildebeest, crocodiles, wart hogs, mongoose and so many different birds. At one point lions killed a hyena right in front of us, which was a unique experience. To see so much in the 4 days we were there was incredible.”
Oliver's Restaurant and Lodge
“Olivers Lodge was great, we were only there for a short stay, but the food and staff were excellent. There was a nice big comfy bed and a great location for the airport.”
asDunas Lodge
“One word for asDunas is paradise. From the moment you walk into the main lodge area and look out across to the archipelago it takes your breath away. The rooms were luxurious, and the whole feel of the lodge helped you feel relaxed and that you were on a tropical getaway. The food was varied, and a different experience at every meal, which was lovely. The chef will come and explain to you at lunch what is on the evening menu, and if there is something that doesn't suit your taste they will adjust it for you, and not to forget the daily massages!!!!
But the main thing that made asDunas incredible was the staff, I can't praise them enough!! They were always smiling, and happy to talk, and their attention to detail was wonderful. The location was great for trips, but it is also a place where you could completely relax, listen to the birds and the sea, and let all the everyday stresses fade away...perfect!”
