Holiday to Tanzania & Mauritius

We enjoyed an incredible two-week holiday, including climbing Kilimanjaro, a safari in Ngorongoro Crater, and a beach retreat in Mauritius. Kilimanjaro was undoubtedly the highlight—a truly unforgettable experience.

The Machame Route
“Climbing Kilimanjaro is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’ve ever considered it, go for it! It’s certainly a challenge — you’re hiking for six to seven days, sleeping in tents in temperatures as low as -10 degrees — but with good preparation and the ability to adjust to high altitudes, it’s extremely rewarding. Summit night was awe-inspiring; we were so high we could actually see the curvature of the Earth. Our guides and the team provided a five-star service at 20,000 feet. The food was excellent, with hearty breakfasts of sausages, eggs, and avocado, and even pizza for dinner! Most importantly, we felt completely safe in the hands of our experienced guides, who had over 20 years of experience on the mountain and shared fun stories throughout the journey.”

“We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Acacia Farm Lodge, and it was truly special. The property is stunning, and the staff were outstanding. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Ngorongoro Crater.”

“Although we only stayed at Serena Mountain Village briefly before our flight, we found it to be a comfortable and convenient layover spot. I’d recommend it for short stays.”
Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort
“Unfortunately, Heritage Le Telfair was a bit disappointing. While the property itself is beautiful and the food was excellent, the guest experience fell short. We encountered issues like a cockroach in the shower, prolonged wait times for service (waiting over an hour for a drink), and an overcharge at checkout. For a five-star hotel, the service was lacking, and the experience felt impersonal. Perhaps we were unlucky, but if you’re looking for a resort on the beautiful island of Mauritius, I’d suggest considering other options.”
