African Elite De Waterkant Apartments
“Beautiful location with some great features. The upstairs rooms and bathrooms are great. The downstairs bedroom has an "outdoor shower," which is a very dark and damp passage that smells and also contains cleaning supplies in the shower area. The drainage for it links to the bedroom's indoor shower, which means that slugs come up into the bathroom every night. It might be better if it didn’t exist.
Other areas need a bit of maintenance. The indoor garden area sliding doors are very difficult to open and feel like they will come out of the frame. The furniture in the downstairs/indoor garden area is quite grubby. The kitchen is well-equipped but lacks a bottle opener. Dishwasher tablets were provided, but there was nothing for the washing machine—a couple of pods would be great, as we had to buy a whole tub of 25 washing pods to do two washes.
We didn’t need housekeeping every day but were told it was included, which was nice. However, we stayed from Friday to Monday, and it seems they don’t operate on weekends, so housekeeping only came on Friday. This was fine, but we were, of course, expecting service every day as we were told—just a communication issue really.”

“Amazing location, delicious food in the restaurant, and beautiful rooms. No complaints. They were super helpful when we got to Cape Town Airport and realised one passport was in their room safe!! The cheese board and wine in our rooms were a lovely touch. Fully recommend.”

“Perfect, but maybe too much food! They have lovely staff, especially our guide Alfred, who was knowledgeable. Everyone was friendly and happy to help with anything. The villa was beautiful, with an incredibly comfy bed and a great bathroom. Wouldn't mind a bathtub as well as a shower! The spa offered a great massage. Every meal was huge and delicious, and we had everything we could have asked for.”
