holiday to Kenya
Ashley Karsenty, 5th January 2025Words, pictures, and videos could never express the once-in-a-lifetime experience we had. The safaris were AMAZING, and going during the season when animals were being born was so special. We saw month-old baby lion cubs, a tiny baby elephant and a week-old giraffe that still had its umbilical cord attached. The Retiti Elephant Sanctuary was also so special. We even got to help them carry the milk down to the elephants. Seeing how the sanctuary saves elephants, but also helps uplift their community by providing jobs to the women who live there was amazing. What truly stood out was how kind the Kenyan people are. Everyone went out of their way to not only make sure we had a great experience but to also share their culture and stories with us.

“Having a watering hole outside our room was so fun. We often woke up to elephants feeding and bathing themselves. Rhino tracking was such an amazing and fun experience. They look so much bigger in person than in pictures. We got to have sundowners on the dried riverbed and the staff pointed out all the constellations and the stories behind them. The village visit was so special seeing their culture up close; We even got to meet a newborn baby who was born 3 hours before we got there!”

“The beauty of this property was unparalleled! One night they served us a private dinner in our room on the beautiful patio outside which was so special. We did a fun walking safari as well as morning and evening safaris and some bush breakfasts. One of the nights we were there they served everyone a beautiful bush dinner where they had a Q&A session for us to ask them anything we wanted.”

“So many animals! We did a lot of morning and evening safaris as well as a walking safari one morning. The food was amazing and the fireplaces made for a nice evening hang-out spot. The massage I received here was incredible, one of the best I've ever had! The last few days my fiance had an upset stomach and two different staff members made him special drinks to help him feel better which was so kind of them.”
