Holiday to South Africa
Alannah Murray, 22nd March 2025We would give Mahlatini 10 stars if we could. We had the most magical two weeks travelling across South Africa in March/April 2025 (Cape Town > Franschhoek > Safari). As very last-minute people, we booked this holiday pretty late with only a couple of months to go! Aaron was nothing but approachable and helpful... and created the best holiday we could ever imagine! We were celebrating our 10-year anniversary and amazingly got engaged just before we headed away. Aaron had passed on the good news to all of our beautiful accommodations, after which they made an extra fuss!! Due to our busy schedules day to day, we described to Aaron that we would love a holiday to switch off completely, with equal amounts of adventure and relaxation, and this is exactly what we experienced. From the locations we visited, accommodation throughout, transport, airport assistance, tips and advice - it all made our experience so seamless and easy. Where booking a last-minute holiday can be super stressful, we didn’t feel anything but relaxed and excited throughout this whole trip. We have already recommended this trip to everyone we have spoken to, and have memories to last a lifetime! Thank you so much Aaron and Mahlatini - we can’t wait for our honeymoon already!!

Four Rosmead Boutique Guesthouse
“This guesthouse is so special. From check-in to check-out, we felt like we were in the comfort of home whilst also surrounded by luxury. The location is perfect - a short walk to Kloof Street and a short taxi ride anywhere! All of the staff were beyond helpful and friendly, highlighting recommendations on maps and even making reservations for us on nights we had no plans. The breakfast is gorgeous! Whenever we return to Cape Town we will 100% be staying here again.”
Avondrood Guest House
“A beautiful, luxurious and charming guest house just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous main street in Franschhoek. Karloff and the team made us feel so welcome and were so helpful throughout. From late check-in to early check-out (a 6am start with a packed lunch provided!), making dinner reservations on our behalf and giving amazing recommendations, it was the perfect few days. The rooms and bathrooms are incredible! Take us back!”
Shimungwe Lodge
“What an amazing few days we had on safari staying at Shimungwe. It was our first time on a safari Holiday and we didn’t know what to expect. Karli and Anushka were so friendly, welcoming and fun and immediately made us feel at home! We were also lucky enough to stay here at the same time as their Social Media Representative Emily, who is amazing! The lodge is so luxurious and spacious, and the food is 10/10. We were excited for every dining experience as it was different every day. We even came home one day to a surprise date-night meal set up with candles and a bottle of champagne to celebrate our engagement, which was beyond special.
Our Rangers Lucan and Richard and our Tracker Prince were so knowledgeable and fun, we still think back on our experience daily. Seeing the Big 5 plus all of the other amazing bush life was something we will never forget. A once-in-a-lifetime trip that we have recommended to all of our family and friends!”
