Elizabeth Zeldin, 8th June 2025My husband and I travel quite a bit, but this trip fully exceeded any and all expectations. We knew it was going to be special, but nothing prepared us for the quality of experiences we had every day. The level of hospitality and the incredible people we met along the way made our honeymoon unforgettable. It was so hard to leave every place we stayed, but especially Ol Seki Mara, where we had the most amazing time. We will remember this trip as the best vacation we have ever had with the most unique experiences and the most beautiful interactions.

“There are no words to describe the experience we had in Ol Seki Hemingways Mara, but I will try to do my best! First of all, the staff was impeccable - friendly, caring, and committed to making the guest experience a wonderful one. Caroline was the sweetest, especially when we had our private cave dinner to celebrate our honeymoon. We were able to chat with her and learn more about her background - a true testament to how hardworking every single member of the staff is. The night guards were friendly and were always present when needed. Deb was such a pleasure to talk to and was always so accommodating. She genuinely cared about every single guest and made our experience so special. Patrick, our favorite guide! His level of knowledge of the land and the animals was truly unmatched and a sight to see. He was so funny and made our drives incredible. We were looking for the elusive and rare leopard for 3 days, and on our last day, multiple cars were waiting around a site where the guides predicted we'd be able to see the leopard that evening. Despite multiple cars and guides being present, Patrick was the one who spotted it in a tree first. He tailored our experience to what we wanted it to be. We really wanted to see a feed just once, and on our last drive, Patrick drove up to the most incredible scene of a pride of lions feeding on the prey they caught the night before. Our game drives were a highlight and despite them being 3-3.5 hours each, we never wanted them to end. In between drives, we would relax in our stunning "tents" or tan by the pool with delicious drinks. The property and setting speak for themselves. The laundry service was such an underrated convenience. Last but not least, the food! My husband and I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, and this food was up to par. Everything was so incredibly fresh and delicious. With every meal being different, we always anticipated meal time. The banana pancakes are enough to make us want to come back. Ol Seki Hemingways is a special place, and it will be hard not to come back when we choose to go on safari again. I nearly cried leaving the property - the experiences and the people will never be forgotten.”

“The Palms was beautiful and had incredible hospitality. The villas were stunning and the property was unlike any other resort we have ever stayed in. We received massages in the spa in the resort next door and they were the best massages we ever got. We also went on a reef walk in low tide and saw amazing sea wildlife - truly a one-of-a-kind experience! The best part about this resort was undoubtedly the food. It was so so special, and truly an unforgettable place! It does get quiet with only a handful of villas, but if that is the experience you are looking for, then this resort is for you.”

“We had calls with multiple safari outfitters after our first call with Natasha just to ensure we were making the right decision, and absolutely no one compared to Mahlatini and Natasha. We felt listened to and our trip was customized around what we truly wanted to get out of our honeymoon, even from the first iteration of our itinerary. Natasha always made herself available to us when we had questions (even though that was never the expectation). Our calls with her were always so exciting and fun! We loved speaking with her about the trip and just life in general. She was so dedicated to curating the perfect trip and assuaging any fears or concerns we had. This was the first time we entrusted our full trip itinerary to a third party, and the thoughtfulness and attention to detail with which everything was planned made our experience in Africa seamless. We never ran into any trouble and we could not have asked for a logistically smoother trip. Natasha was spot-on with her recommendations and we valued her opinion above all else. Our experience with Natasha and the rest of the Mahlatini team was nothing but excellent and exceeded all expectations.
