Holiday to Tanzania
Richard Shaw & George Ribeiro-Justo, 13th October 2025This was our fourth safari trip planned and organised by Mahlatini and our first to Tanzania. The experiences at all three locations that we stayed were quite unique and memorable for many reasons. The managers and teams at the three Lemala lodges were all very welcoming, efficient and attentive, throughout our stays and thanks to all involved for making those stays so enjoyable. The wildlife viewing was excellent, in particular in the Serengeti, and with our own dedicated guides/drivers, we were able to venture into and explore the less visited areas, that often led to some unique experiences. Overall, our Tanzania trip exceeded our expectations and thanks to Mahlatini, Lemala and our wildlife hosts 😉 for making it so memorable.

“Very good Lemala property in a great location, with superb views over the Tarangire. Great lodge team, attentive, efficient and friendly. Good food, with a daily menu change. The property (and guests!) would, however, benefit from air-conditioning in the suites, as the afternoon temperatures, when you are spending time in your suite between lunch and the evening wildlife drive, can be quite oppressive (it is Africa after all 😉) and to be able cool off for a couple or more hours would be beneficial.”

“This is quite a unique (and very new) property for an African safari lodge, with superb suites, set in a wonderful location near the Ngorongoro crater ridge. Once again, the lodge team are extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient and the food, served in dining areas that in themselves could compete Michelin recognition (!), is very good. Where in safari Africa might you find a heated, indoor swimming pool .... Osonjoi Lodge!”
Lemala Nanyukie
“This is a perfectly located Serengeti safari lodge, with, as ever an extremely welcoming and efficient management (thank you Wright) and lodge team. The suites are very well appointed and have individual plunge pools to help you cool off during the heat of the day, between lunch and the afternoon wildlife drive. The food is very good, with the menu changing daily. Nanyukie was our favourite location of the three Lemala properties that we stayed.”
