Holiday to Bhutan & Nepal
Andrew Grimstone, 20th October 2025An amazing trip, primarily focused on Bhutan but also encompassing a day before/after in Kathmandu, Nepal and breaking our return to the UK to spend a couple of days in Doha. Spending time in 3 main towns in Bhutan allowed us to see different parts of the country and experience a variety of cultural / historical sights, which was excellent, and we had plenty of time too for a few longer hikes and to try out Bhutanese archery and darts, which was great fun and truly memorable.

The Inn Patan
“Location excellent, and the set-up too, with attentive team and service throughout ... our only issue was the rather uncomfortable bed and late into the night noise from the bar next door, all of which meant that we had a pretty poor night's sleep, which was unfortunate because it's a great place!”

“Outstanding hotel/service with great rooms and main restaurant, and really nice cultural touches (on arrival and each evening), especially dressing us in Bhutanese costume for the evening and dinner at the excellent private restaurant! Perfect location for our tour and activities in and around the city.”

“Excellent location high on the hill, even if a bit out of town, and the room and facilities were great ... fairly limited food selection, but still good, and the swimming pool still being built which was a shame as it will be (and would have been) great to use after long days of sightseeing and hikes!”

“Idyllic location and outstanding levels of service and comfort, it was a great place to end our time in Bhutan (also convenient for the airport and early morning departure), our cabin was extremely well fitted out and serviced, the grounds were excellent (especially the free use of archery and darts pitches for us and our guide/driver) and we were able to hike out from the grounds on our last day which was an added bonus.”
