Shumbalala Game Lodge
“We loved Shumbala. The people and service were amazing. It was like an oasis in the wild. Our game ranger and tracker were first rate. We had plentiful and truly interesting encounters with the animals and birds. They were very knowledgeable and taught us a lot.
At the lodge: beautiful, comfortable, great food, great service, family of inyalas hung around the courtyard every day while there was quite a show of elephants, giraffes and leopards at the watering hole out back. We accidentally left behind some sentimental items and the wonderful managers found a way to get them back to us after our stay.
The safari experience was amazing. It felt authentically in the wilderness when we were seeing the animals. The guides had true tracking abilities and really knew their animals down to the full names of many bird species. Every day was a wonderful and different experience. They knew just what we needed and made sure to provide warm blankets, water, snacks and short rest times to keep us going.”

“This was a great place too. Its location on the river was really special and we loved the river activities and onsite Boma they provided. The family tent was perfect for us. This was the perfect last experience for us since the activities were a little different (Vic Falls, zip lining, cute town).”
