Honeymoon to South Africa
Anonymous, 27th January 2014The entire trip in South Africa will be one of the best of our lives. We were able to see so much of the country in the little time we had and it wouldn't have been possible without the expertise of Mahlatini. The accommodations at all our destinations were INCREDIBLE and very luxurious. Our favorite place was Dulini Lodge in Sabi Sands. It was intimate and very luxurious with only 12 guests total during our stay. We were only one of 2 couples for the first 2 days and were able to go out on private game drives. It is family run and the owners are so welcoming and you feel part of their family instantly.

“We absolutely loved visiting South Africa. We learned there is so much more to see and do that we will have to go back in the near future. Highlights included driving the coast via Chapman's Drive to Cape of Good Hope, hiking Table Mountain then enjoying wine and lunch at the top and riding cable car down, Camps Bay sunsets, Penguins at Boulders Bay, Franschhoek golf at Pearl Valley (most beautiful golf course we've seen), wine tasting in Franschooek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl, Safari in Sabi Sands (one in a lifetime experience) we saw the Big 5 in the first 2 days we were there. We loved it all!”

“The One and Only was very luxurious and in prime part of city to sight see. The staff was very friendly and always at your beckon call to help set up guides, restaurants or anything you needed. Only complaint was the marina harbor rooms face construction right now so it was pretty loud in the morning.”
Franschhoek Country House & Villas
“Franschhoek Country House is exactly how you would picture it. Small and quaint but decent service. We would rank this accommodation as our least favorite just because the staff was not that helpful when we asked for things we needed. They were helpful in planning the highlight of our trip where we had a driver to tour us around wine country all day. Monneaux in the hotel is listed as a top restaurant but we did not find the food nearly as good as our night at Rocca.”
Dulini Moya Lodge
“Dulini Lodge was incredible! I would highly recommend it to anyone deciding to go on safari in Sabi Sands. The other larger brand names in the area get a lot of attention (Singita, Sabi Sabi) but Dulini is the place to stay. The grounds are immaculate and the service is beyond incredible. There are only 6 suites on the property so you are one of maximum 12 guests. The suites are spacious, have a private plunge pool (where our butler prepared a private dinner and bubble bath for us one night). The food is out of this world. The best we had in all South Africa. Everyone who is going to Sabi Sands MUST stay at Dulini.”
Staff Review
“Nikki was instrumental in planning our honeymoon. From the itinerary to the specifics of hotels she was on top of everything and was accommodating especially when we had to change our hotel in Franschhoek. Our only complaint would be our very poor seat assignments on both international flights. We booked these tickets over 6 months ago and even checked in the first moment we could (which SA Airways said was 24 hours) and we were in a far back row in middle seats. My husband is over 6 feet so this was very uncomfortable especially for a 17 hour flight.”
