Holiday to Kenya
Patricia and Bill Gilmore, 22nd September 2014A very enjoyable and expertly organised safari holiday. We were meeted and greeted at every stage which adds immeasurably to the experience. The highlight was our three nights at Sala's camp, a small camp but with a very personal atmosphere and excellent wildlife experience. The latter was enhanced by the guides Sammy and Mrefu from whom we learnt a lot. Sasaab Lodge was also beautiful with very different vistas and wildlife. One of the highlights here was our sundowners from a large rock high above the river with our friendly and expert guides. Mara Bushtops had excellent accomodation but was outside the Masai Mara Reserve entailing a longer drive to get into the reserve, however the Conservancy (within which Bushtops is situated) itself has plentiful wildlife passing through and good birds.

Sala's Camp
“Tents very comfortable, particularly after we moved into honeymoon tent(not like ordinary camping). Good food and communal atmosphere. Very personal wildlife experience”
“More hotel like than other camps particularly reception and restaurant areas. Same menu for lunch and dinner was a little odd. Could have done with smaller lighter meals at lunch. Lodge itself (Fox) very comfortable with excellent views and we did enjoy the hottub and outside shower.”
