“To us, this is a silly question, we have been to Kenya around 12 times as we love the Country and the people, although we only really meet the staff of companies concerned with the Travel industry. We did consider living over there a few years ago - so yes we love Kenya and it is good that the roads around Nairobi are being sorted!
We also feel extremely sorry for the Country as they have suffered badly in the tourism
vein with all the problems the Country have had and now this Ebola - we have had more
cases than them.”

“This was our fifth time there and it has not changed. The staff cannot do enough for you and are extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived late and the chef came out to take our order, toasted sandwiches, and they were great at 11.30 pm! The place itself is always clean and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to stay there. One also felt safe as you have to enter through large impressive gates!!”

Elewana Elsa's Kopje

“This was the place I dreaded to go due to the Kopje, however, our room although 26 steps up to it which was a little bit of a hike, if you took it slow and steady and looked at the Hyrax on the way! it was not too bad. The room itself was hidden away from every other room and had fabulous views. In the trees the hyrax would eat and play and might also come into the room - this to us was quite normal, but perhaps other people may not like it very much. We also had a serval cat come in at night!
The bar and restaurant ran together and at night you ate on the lawn - all very nice and yet again, the staff made us very welcome. Phillip and Charlie were very helpful and friendly and ensured each guest was enjoying themselves. For us we would have preferred to have eaten all together so one can socialise however, here you ate on your own table. We understand some people much prefer this way. The food was very good and imaginative - we all ate well!!
Our guide Phillip, was alright and knowledgeable however Glen and I, to an extent, found him to be difficult to talk to as he was fairly serious not one we would choose again!”

“The actual managers were away and the temporary persons were pleasant and helpful.
There was no other guests after the first night so it was rather quiet.
The tents were very well appointed and the view was great of the marsh/water hole.
The food again, was varied and tasty. Our guide Mohamed was very good although at first there
was not many smiles by the end of the 4 days it was great fun.
Regretfully we found leopard and cheetah to be away on holiday but we all had a good time
without them!”

Cottar's 1920's Safari Camp

“This was a camp my husband had always wanted to stay and we were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities and our 'house person' was very good. Again the food was varied and tasty and there we shared a table for eating, so we enjoyed good conversation together with one of the guides hosting the table - very pleasant.
Our guide, Douglas, was a gold guide and his knowledge on anything was marvelous and you could ask any question and get a true answer, which for me was wonderful and widened my knowledge on animal life.
Here we found cheetahs and lions but no leopard yet again!”
