Fabia Strathdee & Andrew Barrenger, 1st June 2017The trip was amazing, once in a lifetime and something we will never forget. It would have got a 5 had it not been for a few issues in the last hotel but we were very please with the experiences and the service Mahlatini provided.

Marataba Safari Lodge
“I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic Marataba was. We wanted for nothing, the food was fabulous, the guides were knowledgable, lovely, and could't do enough for us. The game reserve itself has a huge variety of game and the fact that there are only ever 6 vehicles on a drive at one time really does make it feel exclusive, animal-friendly and generally makes the safari a much better experience. The accommodation itself was flawless and beautiful with incredible scenery and everything was well looked after, clean and the staff were amazing. The lodge has thought of anything and perfectly understands the needs of their customers. This was the best part of our trip, anyone looking for a fantastic safari experience with luxury and romance should be sent here.”

“Fantastic hotel, lovely people, great location. The service was brilliant and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very well laid out with very good access to the beach and swimming pool for relaxing. Although it is quite isolated, we were not fussed as we spent most of our time in the hotel because it catered for all our needs. Our ocean view room was fantastic, modern, clean and the plunge pool was a brilliant feature. Highly recommended and we were worried because of how new the hotel was at the time of booking but needn't have been worried at all.”

“Raffles, although it had wonderful accommodation which was flawless, we really struggled to enjoy ourselves because of the price of food and 'extras'. Although we were aware it was an expensive hotel, it the extras outside of the B and B deal were unaffordable and frankly not worth the money, as the one meal we did eat at the hotel was average but cost the equivalent of £100 for one course and non-alcoholic drinks! This didn't ruin the trip however, because there was access to lots of brilliant local places to eat and drink so we explored Seychelles much more here. However, the staff were also very very pushy constantly trying to get you to buy more or book their restaurants for dinner which we found off putting. Many of the staff were very nice and helpful and the room was fantastic, but not somewhere we would revisit.”
