The organisation was exceptional as was the accommodation, Hemmingways hotels and safari were wonderful.
We were however slightly disappointed that we were not made aware that this was the off season at the beach resort and the beach would be covered in seaweed at this time of year (as it is every year), it was also extremely windy which again is a yearly event and although this did not have to detrimental effect on the holiday if we had been made aware of these events we would not have booked to stay at Hemingways Watamu.
A truly wonderful place to visit, the people were all very welcoming and helpful but there is also the poverty - this was probably the worst that I have seen and it really highlights how financially divided the country is.
Excellent in all areas, although only a quick stop over we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. A special mention to Steve who ensured all transfers, pick ups and luggage exchanges went with out a hitch.
As above, A special mention to Melinda who truly was the perfect host.
Stuart has been very helpful from our initial contact and put together a package that initially sounded exactly what we were looking for, however as I have said previously I do feel we should have been made aware of the extremely windy conditions and the very large amount of seaweed on the beach, (when I say large I mean you couldn't see any sand for the sea weed).
I would say that as a whole the holiday/experience was wonderful but having to wait at Schipol airport for 5.30 hours was not ideal either, I do realise that this was down to KLM and outwith Stuarts control.
I would be happy to recommend both Mahlatina and Stuart to friends and family but would advise them to ensure they do some homework on the destination they choose (which is probably something I should have done more of)
