Only 'not great' experience was at Chobe.
Pom Pom - positive
Chobe - negative
Good start to the safari. Hippos outside the cabin and honking all night. :)
Great experience. Walking safaris were fantastic and a truly memorable event.
Only negative was the temperature (37/38 degrees) which was beyond the camp's control. I just was not prepared for that much trouble sleeping.
Food was good, Boma dinner was entertaining, waterfall was very low on volume given low overall water levels.
Felt more like a Disney Adventure Park ride than a safari: 9 passengers to a jeep, shortened drives (3 hours including the 30 minutes to get to the national park and register), too much traffic (I counted 13 jeeps full of people staring at a single leopard once morning which obviously bothered the animal), guides were not as informative.
Loved the fact it was in a private concession so we could go off road and track lions (unsuccessfully) and a rhino (found him). From a game viewing it was the best (male lion, male leopard, wild dogs (two different packs), etc.
