We would not have made our connection to Maputo from Jo'berg as not ticketed all the way through as two different airlines. If we hadn't of rang you from Heathrow to ask about the connection time and you arranged for us be met from the aircraft and escorted through to our next flight. Our flight landed on time but immigration is so slow with very very long queues, a long wait for bags and lots of people checking in for the SAA flight. Personally we would prefer not to fly via in the future. Over all it was a good trip but the road down to The White Pearl is a bit arduous after many hours of travel but worth it for the remoteness of the resort. It's a shame they allowed children and day guests though.
Lovely unspoilt beaches and a very relaxing place to visit. However it's a shame about the lack of game but I know measures are in place to help its return.
On first look the property is lovely and all the public areas are well kept however the rooms are a little tired, with cracked up baths and broken reading lights. The service was good but a little over enthusiastic at times. The food was good but wasn't always as it was described on the menu, I have never had an Orange coloured Lime tart before with dots of red sauce that should have been Raspberries! The included activities were good except for the safari which was stated as five hours but took us over nine hours. We had seen all of the animals species within the first couple of hours. We in fact had to stop our guide taking us even further in the park. Once we were heading back this took over three hours on extremely bad roads through bush which we had to hold back to prevent getting hit in the face with. We were told to wear warm clothes but by mid afternoon these were most uncomfortable and in fact this resulted in Peter becoming ill with heat stroke. The food provided on the safari was also inadequate. Plenty of water was provided. We are glad we went on it but would have probably not if the hotel had been honest about the length of the trip. Although service and friendliness of the staff was very good the resort it's self wasn't as good as expected.
Nikki was always helpful and planned us a lovely trip as it was just what we wanted, a get away from it all beach holiday.
