We had the most fantastic time. It was the holiday of a lifetime. It was the perfect balance of action and adventure with luxurious relaxation.
We loved it and only wish we had more time to spend exploring.
We had the most incredible time on safari in Kenya and hope to return again in the future.
It is easily the most idyllic place that we have ever been to.
The hotel was stunning. The wild animals roaming the property were amazing. We came home in the evening to have drinks on our balcony watching the giraffes sleep on the lawn in front of our room! The deck restaurant over the Zambise river is amazing. The bedrooms are slightly in need of a freshen up, but given how amazing the rest of the facilities are, this is easily overlooked.
One of the most amazing hotels we've ever stayed at. We were upgraded to an incredible suite. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We wish we had more time to explore as it was a shame to stay here just to transit through.
The experience offered by Saruni Mara is flawless. We enjoyed full day game drives as a result of the rain. This was hugely beneficial giving us more time to spend watching game. Our guides were very friendly and obviously experts. It was nice to be supporting an employment scheme for female Masai guides too. The property was charming and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We originally requested private dining in our room of an evening, but Saruni Mara didn't seem to know about this so we joined in with everyone on the first night. Having now seen how safaris work, I'm glad we had the opportunity to do this as I think its part of the fun sharing your day with others. And on our second evening, we were able to have dinner in our villa. From the website/ proposal we had received, I had anticipated that the rooms would have been a touch more luxurious, although this did not detract from the overall experience in any way. And for some reason, we had convinced ourselves that there was a pool onsite (perhaps we got confused with another property that had been proposed to us), so we were a bit shocked to discover there wasn't one. That said, given we were out for 10 hours a day on game drives, I don't know when we would have had the opportunity to use it! We would have no hesitation in returning to Saruni Mara and recommending it to others.
The resort was absolutely magical. The property is sophisticated and chic and has a European feel to it. The grounds are well kept and there is so much on offer to keep guests relaxed, entertained and pampered. The snorkelling is amazing. And the overwater villas were fabulous. The all-inclusive package was excellent and the way forward. It would be great for premium all-inclusive customers to be able to get the same wine selection available in their rooms as part of their minibar. For some reason, we were expecting a smaller resort and were surprised that it was home to 125 villas. We were also expecting it to be adults only.
Claire was fabulous. She was always very friendly and professional, sharing her expertise and recommendations with us. It was a pleasure booking with Mahlatini and we will be recommending you to our colleagues, family and friends and hope to use you again in the future.
