Overall Impressions

We had a brilliant safari in Kenya and we certainly had the experience of a lifetime. Amboseli and the Masai Mara were excellent places to visit for a first safari and we saw the big five and so much more. Our most memorable moment has got to be the sundowner we did in Amboseli with a herd of elephants. It was amazing! We are so pleased that our Mahlatini agent, Claire, put together such a good itinary for us. The camps we stayed in were superb and it was lovely to be out in the wild but with five star luxury! We are now looking forward to planning our next safari. Thank you!

Kenya 5

We loved being out on safari and felt very safe. The landscape of the parks is breath-taking. However from what we saw of Nairobi, it did not seem to be a very safe city. We were glad we had the andbeyond guide with us.

Accommodation Visited

Palacina The Residence & The Suites 5

Excellent place to stay. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite which was lovely. It was just a shame that we arrived at 11pm and had to leave at 6am the next day. Very friendly staff.

Tortilis Camp 5

The setting at Tortillis was incredible. I dont think we will ever get to stay in such a stunning setting again. It's not everyday that Mount Kilimanjaro is your view! The tent was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. We had some lovely food and the restaurant staff were great. All staff were very welcoming and it was a nice touch to be greeted by the camp managers on our arrival. Our guide was very knowledgable and did everything he could to make our trip memorable. The suprise bush breakfast he arranged for us was a lovely thought.

Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp 5

Kichwa Tembo was a brilliant place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and our room butler could not do enough for us. The food was nice although it was a little repetitive having soup served as the starter each night. Also our waiter could have been a little more friendly at times. The best thing about our stay at Kichwa was our guide, Sammy. He was the friendliest person we have ever met and so knowledgable. He taught us so much about all the animals we saw.

Staff Review 5

Claire has been brilliant right from the start when we were making initial enquiries with no idea what we really wanted. We have been able to ask Claire any questions along the way, even trivial ones, and she has responded promptly with a great happy-to-help attitude. Thank you Claire.
