- Countries Visited: Kenya & Mauritius
- Holiday Type: Holiday
So many highlights - it is very difficult to know where to start! OK - a holiday like the one we've just had can fall to pieces if the organisation behind it is lacking. This was like a well oiled machine, especially so in Kenya, where, even though on holiday, it was essential to be able to stick to the time table. Your partners in Kenya are just terrific, and our special thanks to the guides and drivers at Game Watchers - a class act company. I was born and lived in Kenya for 17 years and during that time toured the length and breadth of the country, visiting numerous national parks and reserves. I can honestly say that in the 5 days of safaris on this visit I have never seen such a variety of game - and that they were so close up was just an amazing bonus.
Climate - has got to be the world's finest! People - have got to be the world's best! Game viewing - has got to be the world's envy! Just about says it all!
A beautiful island with quite an astonishing variety of flora given it's size. The authorities attempts to go upmarket in their tourism industry has been a good strategy
Amboseli Serena is getting on a bit, but that did not detract from the overall experience which was most enjoyable.
Overnight camping in a tent wasn't like this when I was a lad! This is stylish, comfortable and just THE perfect way to stay in the middle of a game reserve!
Almost in the middle of town, right on the front door of Sate House, how come this place is so beautifully quiet? Great restaurant, and all the lovely touches like afternoon tea! Terrific staff who go out of their way to help. If we were to be pernickety, perhaps the rooms should have been sprayed before dropping the mosquito net so that the little blighters were not trapped under the net!
A wonderful place - how can guests filling 163 rooms apparently disperse so you believe you're virtually the only residents there? Great amenities, cuisine and the staff are fabulous.

Not applicable - the schedule was changed before we left to avoid being in a potentially sensitive area if any conflict had arisen just prior to the elections.
I'd like to think that following a few telephone calls and countless e-mails over the weeks leading up to our departure, we have made a lovely friend in Belfast! Claire has been polite, kind, helpful, and just so efficient. Thank you so much.
